There a couple of recipes for chocolate mousse on the website all delicious in their own way, this one does not use raw eggs so its brilliant for younger children and pregnant women and it means that you can let your special helpers lick out the bowl knowing all is safe and well!
Ingredients:
150g mini marshmallows
50g butter
250g plain chocolate
300ml double cream
1tsp vanilla extract
Place the marshmallows, butter, chocolate and 60ml water in a large non metallic bowl.
Place your bowl over a pan of boiling water, stirring every now and then until everything has melted, or melt it in the microwave.
Remove from the heat and leave to cool.
Place the cream and vanilla extract in a bowl and whisk together until thick and the cream holds its shape.
Gently stir or fold into the cooled chocolate mixture until smooth and well combined.
Pour or spoon into glasses or ramekins. Chill and then decorate with whipped cream and chocolate hearts.
